Bob Dylan is coming to Germany with his “The Rough and Rowdy Ways” tour in October, playing in Flensburg, Magdeburg, Berlin and Krefeld.
“The Last Waltz” in review:
Tickets are available from July 18 with limited pre-sale contingents, regular pre-sale starts on July 20. However, there is one important factor to consider: the concerts are “mobile phone free”.
Cellphone-free concert – what do I have to consider?
First of all, the organizers point out that mobile phones are not allowed. This means that upon arrival at the venue, smartphones will be stowed in a small, lockable bag. Mobile phones do not have to be handed in, they are only stowed away for the time of the show and cannot be used, but may be taken into the hall.
What if I need to make a call in an emergency?
That is absolutely no problem! The cell phone can be unlocked at any time. There are so-called telephone usage areas in the entrance area of the hall. Ushers and employees of the company Yondr, which organizes the procedure, will help out if there are any problems.
And why does it have to be without a cell phone?
Bob Dylan wants viewers to have an “unplugged” experience on his tour. This was also the case on the songwriter’s previous concert tours. Organizer Live Nation writes: “We open our eyes a little wider and our senses are sharper when we lose the technology crutch we are used to. And yes, this requirement is non-negotiable (exceptions are made for those who rely on their phone for medical treatment).”
What else should I consider?
Basically nothing at all, except that the payment functions of the mobile phone are no longer available, so that it makes sense to take a credit card to Bob Dylan concerts if you don’t have any cash with you.
