Only a year ago, coach Julian Nagelsmann, defender Dayot Upamecano and midfielder Marcel Sabitzer joined FC Bayern from RB Leipzig. Not only did the German record champions achieve top-class transfers, but a direct competitor from the Bundesliga was also weakened in terms of personnel.
