Hassan previously announced that she would not run three distances, as she did at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. ,,Anyway, I do two distances and in any case the 5000 meters,’ she said in the run-up to the World Cup.
Hassan won gold in the 5000 and 10,000 meters in Tokyo. In the 1500 meters she had to settle for a bronze medal. Then Hassan took a long break. On Saturday she was immediately successful when she returned.
The World Athletics Championships in Eugene will be held from July 15 to July 24.
