Six celebrity women from business and sport are investing time and money in the women’s team at FC Viktoria Berlin. The amateur team wants to play in the Bundesliga in five years.

Now the first step for a new beginning has been taken. The ladies have found a coach.

Alejandro Pietro (41) from Mexico is the name of the new boss on the pitch. The man with a French passport and a German grandmother studied in the USA and played professionally in Mexico.

Viktoria’s sports director Henner Janzen (53): “He has worked in many countries. He has been living in Berlin for several years, and although it will be his first women’s team, he immediately won us over with his style and expertise. He represents what we want to be, a different kind of football history.”

Most recently, Pietro trained young footballers, the D youth at Rotation Prenzlauer Berg.
