Ariadna was in ‘Sportlandia’ reliving the victory in the final of the European Championship against Norway

The azulgrana will not go out on loan this season and hopes to find a place in the first team

Last Saturday, Ariadne Mingueza fulfilled a dream. The Spanish Women’s U-19 National Team experienced an epic match against Norway, coming back from the match and scoring the decisive goal in stoppage time. The Barça player, as captain of the ‘Rojita’, raised the European Cup to heaven and hopes to continue making history in the U-20 World Cup that takes place next month.

Question: It’s been four days since the heart-stopping final against Norway, have you assimilated it yet?

ANSWER: Neither I nor any of us are aware of what we have bundled. It has been an honor for me to lift the European Champions Cup and it is a dream come true.

How did the team manage to lose and then turn the score around?

We didn’t expect to concede a goal so soon, but the key was the team we have, the group we’ve formed. I had never experienced such a healthy group and I think that was the key.

Did you see yourself playing extra time?

To tell you the truth, I saw myself in extra time, but obviously you trust the team and we were attacking ourselves. In the last few minutes the chances were ours, but they put in the added minutes and you think you’re going to play half an hour more… You don’t expect to score, but I trusted the team. It was crazy

What did you feel at the end of the meeting?

When Julia Bartel scored, I already celebrated as if it were the end of the match. I fell to the ground, I started to cry and told my teammates that we had to defend because we couldn’t concede anything.

Next month there is another competition, do you see yourself playing the U-20 World Cup?

During these days the call will come out. Until it comes out I can’t say anything. I hope so because for me it would be a dream to play a World Cup and even more so to win it because it would be making history in a big way.

Andes from the beginning against Norway you showed your support to Alexia. What does it mean to you?

We wanted to dedicate the victory to him because he deserves no less. I hope he has a good recovery and can be on the field as soon as possible because he is going to be missed.

And speaking of Barça, will you go out on loan this season?

Not at the beginning. I will do the preseason with the first team and if they give me opportunities I will try to take advantage of them because my dream is to succeed at FC Barcelona. My future is here.

Happy for the signing of Salma Paralluelo?

I am delighted that you are in Barcelona. As a player she is a spectacle and she is very humble. That gets you where you’re getting. I wish him the best and I will accompany him on this path. Hopefully one day we both play in the Barça first team.
