Club is probably making the first de Ligt offer

FC Bayern Munich is interested in central defender Mathijs de Ligt. Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic therefore flew to Turin.

There could be movement in the transfer debate about Matthijs de Ligt, who was courted by FC Bayern Munich. Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic confirmed talks with Juventus Turin about signing the defender for the first time on Monday. “We were there and talked. Now let’s see,” he told Sky Sport News and “Bild”.

First offer submitted

Salihamidzic kept a low profile about further details. In response to a question, he said he could not say how likely it was that the transfer would take place. “I would like to say that, but I can’t. Now let’s see what happens. It’s always important to talk. Let’s see what comes of it,” said the sports director.

The biggest problem is the transfer fee. The Italians have a sum of around 80 million euros in mind. As the “Bild” is said to have learned, Bayern have now submitted an initial offer – this should be 60 million euros and contain additional bonus payments, which could increase the final sum by a double-digit million amount.

Three-digit transfer fee

The media had previously unanimously reported that Salihamidzic had arrived in Turin to negotiate about the Dutch international. According to “Bild”, talks were pending with Juve sports director Federico Cherubini.
