Watford sacked manager Claudio Ranieri on Monday after a nine-match winless streak. The Londoners have lost eight of the last nine meetings and have only drawn one, against Newcastle United. In addition, they come from being thrashed at home 0-3 by Norwich City, one of the weakest teams in the competition.

This defeat has led to the dismissal of Ranieri, who arrived at the team on October 4, one day after the dismissal of the Spanish Xisco Muñoz, who promoted Watford to the Premier League and who, when he was fired, had the club out of the relegation places.

Now Watford, who is already looking for a coach, is penultimate, with 14 units, two more than the bottom team, Burnley, who has two games less, and two from Norwich, who marks salvation.

This has been Ranieri’s second adventure in the Premier since he made Leicester City champion in 2016. After winning the championship, Ranieri went through Nantes, before joining Fulham, where he was also fired, Roma and Sampdoria. Since the start of the 2012/2013 season, Watford have had fourteen managers.
