Top talent Lukas Ullrich (18) also wanted to leave and had several offers from the Bundesliga. After the left-back informed Hertha about his agreement with Gladbach, the Berliners opted to extend the contract until 2023.
BZ knows: The Ullrich side sees this option as ineffective, the parents are said to have hired lawyers, but Hertha manager Fredi Bobic and junior boss Pablo Thiam stuck to their guns! Even when Gladbach submitted an offer with a transfer fee.
