Paco Seirul·lo will no longer be linked to Barça after 46 years at the club’s service. The physical trainer, an eminence in his field and one of the great responsible for the methodology that prevails in the club, put an end to his stage after Rafa Yuste, sports vice president, told him that he would not renew.
Seirul lo himself, in statements to ‘RAC1’, reviewed his work for so many years and explained his feelings about the decision made about his future: “I’m not disappointed with anyone, but rather grateful to have worked at the best club the world for so many years”, he explained. In this sense, he has added that “Nobody gave me any reason not to renew. They simply explained to me that the economic situation was delicate”.
Of course, the physical trainer, one of those directly responsible for the best handball team in history and also for the football methodology area, confessed that “I have a pending meeting with Xavi to talk about my methods and explain them to him.” That is why he is very clear that “it would be a mistake if Barça did not continue to have the methodology area that I headed up until now. It would lose part of its values”. He also revealed that “I’m preparing a book with everything I’ve been collecting over the years with the Barça DNA.”
