FC Hansa Rostock strengthens the defense with Frederic Ananou. The 24-year-old, who has been part of the second division’s training squad for two weeks, has signed a contract until June 30, 2023. The free transfer right-back has been active for SC Paderborn 07 for the past two years, for which he played last season – also due to injury – only played six games in the 2nd Bundesliga.
“Freddy left a positive impression in the training sessions in Rostock and was able to confirm this here in the training camp in Austria under competitive conditions in our two friendlies. He is a robust, fast and tough player who can be used both as a central defender and as an outside defender. We are pleased that he was able to integrate quickly after a short time and will therefore also fit into the team in terms of character,” said sporting director Martin Pieckenhagen.
