With a market value of 12 million euros, Sam Johnstone was the most valuable goalkeeper not to sign a new contract for the 2022/23 season. However, the 29-year-old is already down from the list of those without a club. The day after his contract with second division club West Bromwich Albion expired, the three-time England international signed a four-year deal with Crystal Palace.
The “Eagles” are the tenth stop in Johnstone’s professional career. The Manchester United youth keeper spent four years with West Brom. He made 167 appearances for the “Baggies”, more than for any other club. The goalkeeper kept his box clean 45 times.
