The clothing supplier C&A has opened up another distribution channel. The company announced on Thursday that it will now also be offering selected products via the German platform of the online retailer Amazon. “The range available on Amazon Fashion includes essentials for women, men and children as well as selected fashion,” explained C&A.

After the start in Germany, the partnership with Amazon is to be quickly expanded to other markets. “The launch on the Dutch, French, Italian and Spanish websites will follow soon,” announced the clothing retailer.

Clothing retailer takes “major step in its omnichannel strategy”

Joris van Rooy, Chief Digital Officer at C&A Europe, explained the partnership with the e-commerce giant: “Amazon is becoming an increasingly important point of contact for customers in the European textile market. It’s important for us to offer them the best of C&A, especially when their journey begins at Amazon Fashion,” he said in a statement.

With the cooperation that has now started with Amazon, C&A is taking “a big step in its omnichannel strategy,” according to a statement. The clothing retailer has been offering its products on the Zalando platform since spring last year. The medium-term goal of the company is to achieve half of its total sales online by 2025 at the latest, CEO Giny Boer explained in an interview with the business newspaper Handelsblatt at the beginning of the year.
