Miljuschka Witzenhausen collapses even further: ‘Obese of the tube’

It is crying with the cap on for Miljuschka Witzenhausen. On the threshold of the TV season, she just delivered one of the biggest flops of the TV year: her first season of Obese.

Obese was once a hit on RTL 4, but the current series with Miljuschka Witzenhausen on RTL 5 is a true viewing drama. The premiere already scored poorly on the first day of this June with 340 thousand viewers, but after that it only got worse. Last week, only 167 thousand people watched.

Tube Obese?

To make matters worse, Miljuschka only sees her figures slump even further. Yesterday the fifth episode of Obese did not attract more than 139 thousand viewers (4% market share). Even the nightly repeat of Op1 still attracts twice as many viewers. So really a disaster.

Viewing figures expert Tina Nijkamp predicts that we will not see Obese again next season. “Ah. It could be even lower… Miljuschka only 139 thousand viewers with Obese. So no new season for Obese I think.”

Perfect Picture at #1

Het Perfecte Plaatje, in which Tim den Besten said goodbye, was the prime time winner with 726 thousand viewers (21%) on RTL 4. “The program takes advantage of the poor score of the charity show Memories for Life on NPO 1.”

That NPO 1 show for charity was the number two on prime time with 493 thousand viewers (15%). Furthermore, most people watched Steenrijk Straatarm with 480 thousand viewers (15%) on SBS 6 and Nieuwsuur with 440 thousand viewers (13%) on NPO 2.

Pathetic

Obviously, very few people watch television right now. The schedules are therefore filled as cheaply as possible. Some stations, according to Tina, are doing very well.

They writes: “The prize for the saddest program schedule this week goes to RTL 7. They only have two (!) programs in the schedule from 6 p.m. to midnight: Pawn Stars and Flodder. All reps. This is very one-sided for a station that is on number seven on the remote control.”

The result? At the height of the evening, 141,000 people watched the channel. That is more than Miljuschka had in any case.

Viewing figures

Other programs that did not make the top 15 include Shownieuws (445 thousand), Children Buy A House (400 thousand), 112 Today (294 thousand) and Shownieuws Zomer Edition (254 thousand).
