The Slovakian three times world champion for Covid from the Tour of Switzerland, but has no symptoms. The Boucle is also in sight for the Tuscan
There is optimism about Peter Sagan’s presence at the Tour de France. The 32-year-old Slovak of TotalEnergies, three times world champion, had returned to success at the Tour of Switzerland but then did not start the last stage, Sunday 19 June, because he was positive at Covid: the third time for him. But this time Sagan has practically no symptoms and if he gets the green light from the control pad – Friday perhaps – he will start the Slovak National Championship on Sunday and then he will start the Tour on Friday 1 July in Copenhagen. Alberto Bettiol is also expected from the Tour de France, also returning from a positive Covid to Switzerland: he is better, but as a precaution it was decided by his club, the Ef-EasyPost, to make him skip the online test that will assign the Italian champion jersey (Sunday 26th with finish line in Alberobello).
