Welsh football superstar Gareth Bale is considering a move to his hometown of Cardiff.
A spokesman for the 32-year-old confirmed the “BBC” negotiations with the second division Cardiff City.
The once most expensive player in the world is currently weighing the advantages and disadvantages of a transfer to City with a view to the World Cup in Qatar, it said.
Cardiff was only 18th in the Championship last season.
Bale switched from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid nine years ago for a fee of 100 million euros. The striker’s contract with the Champions League winners expires on June 30.
Recently there was even speculation about the end of the star player’s career, but after the Welshman’s participation in the World Cup, Bale obviously wants to continue in any case.
