Defender Dimitri Lavalee is leaving Bundesliga club FSV Mainz 05 for good and returning to his home country of Belgium.
The 25-year-old moves to the first division club KV Mechelen, the clubs did not specify the transfer modalities.
Lavalee came to Mainz from Standard Liège in 2020, but remained at FSV without a professional assignment. Last season he was loaned to VV St. Truiden, also from Belgium’s first division.
