Traffic between Raalte and Heeten will have to make considerable detours this evening, because the main road between the two villages has been closed due to an accident.
The accident happened just after the roundabout that connects Nieuwe Deventerweg with Heetenseweg. A car driving in the direction of Heeten skidded, presumably because the road had become slippery after a rain shower.
The car ended up in the ditch and flipped over. The driver was uninjured, but the co-driver was pregnant and was taken to hospital for a check-up.
The road is closed in the direction of Heeten due to an inspection of the road and the recovery of the car.
