It was in the air, because already in yesterday’s free practice that Alex Rins was far from being at his best due to the pain in his wrist, more intense and annoying than he feared. The doctors, Xavier Mir in hospital in Barcelona and Angel Charte at the Sachsenring circuit, had given him permission to race. But it is useless to do so if you feel you are not getting results and especially if you think you are at risk. So the rider, after consulting with the men of his Suzuki team, decided to skip the German GP. With the hope of being able to recover in view of the Assen race, in the Netherlands, scheduled for next weekend.
The pain increased

Alex will now continue the recovery path set for him after breaking the pyramidal / triquetral bone, which includes electromagnetic therapy and a rest and anti-inflammatory cycle, in the hope therefore of being ready by next Friday. And given the very tight deadlines, Suzuki will not replace him today. “I decided it together with the team,” confirmed the Spaniard. “Today the feeling with the hand and wrist is a bit worse than yesterday, I felt a lot of pain when I tried to do a fast lap, so I don’t feel able to compete. This is why we prefer to focus on Holland. I hope my physical conditions are better at Assen, especially because it is a track that I really like ”.
