Data from the Central Bureau of Statistics show that Drenthe has approximately 225 thousand homes, of which almost 55 thousand are social rented houses. That equates to about 25 percent. To achieve the 30 percent, roughly 17,000 social rental homes will have to be built in our province.
To give you an idea of how many there are: Aa en Hunze, Borger-Odoorn, Coevorden, Meppel, Midden-Drenthe, Noordenveld, Tynaarlo, Westerveld and De Wolden each have a total of less than 17,000 homes.
