DFB director Oliver Bierhoff has recently shown himself open to abolishing the slogan “The team”. It was not very popular anyway, as a survey shows.
The polarizing DFB term “The Team” is rejected by the majority of German football fans. In a survey conducted by the FanQ voting app on behalf of the SID news agency, 76.1 percent of those surveyed rated the slogan negatively.
Two-thirds of the people taking part in the survey (66.7 percent) even rate the controversial term as “very negative”. More than half of the followers (56.0 percent) are of the opinion that there is no need for an alternative marketing term.
Bierhoff open to abolition
