Challenger Milano, also Paire on the draw

The Frenchman has already changed his mind about the “indefinite break” announced in Stuttgart and is on the tournament draw from Monday at the Harbor

The “indefinite break” – as announced on social media after the defeat against Lorenzo Sonego in Stuttgart – is already over. Benoit Paire will return to the field and will do so in Italy: he is the man most awaited at the Challenger in Milan on clay, the Aspria Tennis Cup – BCS Trophy. The tournament will begin on Monday 20 June, with qualifiers scheduled the day before. If Paire is the strong name, there are many high level tennis players who will try to win a tournament that in the past has launched future protagonists at high levels: we remember Sinner and Musetti, but it should not be forgotten that last year Holger reached the semifinals. Rune, then number 236 in the world and now 28th in the ranking, complete with quarter-finals won at Roland Garros.

Entry list

The player with the highest ranking present in Milan will be Federico Coria, number 64 in the world: the Argentine returns to play the Harbor Club Challenger after the final lost last year against Gian Marco Moroni. Also “El Bufalo”, Roman tennis player number 159 in the world, will be present this year and will try to defend the title won last season. The other Italians already on the draw are Marco Cecchinato (champion in 2016) and Gianluca Mager, both eager to return to the levels of the past: they were respectively number 16 and 62 in the ATP ranking, now they are out of the top 100 in the world. In addition to them, while awaiting the results of the qualifiers, Gigante and Passaro will also be protagonists: only them the two wild cards.

Tickets

So many players not to be missed: in addition to Coria and Paire, among the top-100 there is also Hugo Dellien, who at Roland Garros passed the first round by beating Dominic Thiem. The Bolivian won the 2019 edition in Milan. How to watch live matches?
