A 31-year-old man from Emmen was injured on Saturday evening in a home in New Amsterdam. According to the police, a ‘violent incident’ occurred in the house on Zandlaan. What exactly happened is still under investigation.
Local residents speak of a stabbing, but the police cannot confirm this. Nearby residents found blood in the driveway.
The injured man was taken to hospital for a check-up. Not long after the incident, a 19-year-old man from Emmen was arrested as a suspect. He was still incarcerated on Sunday morning. Police have not yet released any information about the relationship between the victim and the suspect.
