Schalke brings German top talent

Schalke 04 is continuing to plan for the new season. After three transfers in the past few days, the Royal Blues have now also announced the commitment of top talent Tom Krauss.

Tom Krauss is moving to Schalke 04. The club announced this on Friday afternoon. The midfielder is on loan from RB Leipzig for a year – with an option to re-sign.

Krauss was loaned to 1. FC Nürnberg for the past two seasons and attracted lasting attention with his playing strength. At FCN, the native of Leipzig scored three goals and three assists in 31 second division games.

“He is a central midfielder who is strong in tackles and plays, has good timing and the necessary aggressiveness in one-on-one situations,” said S04 sporting director Rouven Schröder about Krauss: “In addition, he is characterized by the combination of a great mileage and a above-average pace for his position, both of which help him create dangerous accents in the last third.”
