Sonja Bakker is once again very much in the victim role now that the accusations of plagiarism continue. She is crying in the Privé today that she is having such a hard time and has left our country.
It just doesn’t stop with Sonja Bakker. A new accusation of plagiarism pops up about every other week and that’s just getting too much. She has left the Netherlands for good for a life in Ibiza. “I am putting my work as a writer and entrepreneur on hold indefinitely,” she laments in the Privately†
Sonja crying in bed
Sonja cries in the tabloid that she is having such a ‘very hard time’. “I spent nights crying in bed. (…) My life is in complete disarray. A lot has happened in the past two years. My private problems, the corona period, the death of my father and the plagiarism affair.”
She’s really fed up. “I’ve always enjoyed my job, but at the moment I don’t have the energy to continue,” says the diet book author.
Victim role
It is Sonja herself who has stolen all kinds of recipes from everywhere, pretended they were hers and made millions with it, so why is she suddenly the victim now?
Telegraaf presenter Wilson Boldewijn is surprised about this. He says at Private TV: “She does take on the role of victim a bit, because if that plagiarism has been proven, then she should really just bow down and say: ‘I didn’t do that completely cleanly.’”
‘To Russia!’
Rob Goossens thinks Sonja would be better off moving to Russia. “If Sonja is smart, she will move to Russia. Since the beginning of the war, copyright has only been enforced there if you steal from ‘friendly countries’. You can now plagiarize recipes from Dutch and Americans with impunity”, he sneezes Twitter†
He is annoyed by Sonja’s whining that her whole life is ‘upside down’. “How could that be? “
