After receiving several appeals, the TAD ruled on June 30 and declared the call null and void, the annulment of the electoral calendar, and ordered the retroaction of the procedure to the moment prior to the call, with the obligation to prepare a new calendar. electoral.

“This decision of the TAD was considered, by the RFEF and its highest officials, as absolutely arbitrary and lacking any legal basis, like others that the TAD had been dictating on previous dates and always along the same lines; and That had been complained about, both publicly and privately, by the president of the RFEF, Luis Rubiales,” the organization said today.

The elections were finally held on September 21 two years ago and Luis Rubiales was re-elected, as the sole candidate, with the support of 95 votes out of 105 cast and 10 blank.
