In the Pietrangeli arena, at the Foro Italico, the Calabrian athlete defeated the Egyptian Seif Eissa in the final -80 kg category. In the first round the blue wins 4-2, then in the second he keeps his rival at bay and closes 4-3.

The path

The blue, who graduated as European champion in Manchester just two weeks ago, reached the final by beating one after another the Lebanese Tarek Mousalli (6-2, then 14-2), then Nedzad Husic (again in two rounds), for ending with the Tunisian Katoussi and finally Woo Hyeok Park, the last obstacle before the victory in the final.
