Employee held at gunpoint in Amsterdam-West hotel robbery

An employee was held at gunpoint early on Thursday morning during a robbery at a hotel in Amsterdam-West. The two assailants eventually ran off without taking anything. Police are now calling for witnesses.

The robbery happened early yesterday morning around 4.20 am in a hotel on Bellamyplein. One of the perpetrators had a firearm with him and aimed it at a hotel employee. At the same time, they called for the content of the job.

After it became clear that none of those present could open the safe, they left again. The robbers disappeared from sight via Tollenstraat. According to the police, the impact on the employees is significant. “It looked as if the robber was going to shoot. That must have been an intense experience.”

The first suspect would be a man between 18 and 25 years old with a height of about 1.85 to 1.90 meters. He has a dark complexion and was wearing a black hood, padded dark jacket and a red shopping bag at the time of the robbery.

The second suspect is also believed to be a man between the ages of 18 and 25. He is slightly smaller: approximately between 1.75 and 1.85 meters tall and also has a dark complexion. During the robbery, he was wearing a dark hood, a dark hoodie or vest and a black mouth cap. This was also the suspect who was carrying the firearm.
