Superfan and volunteer Dicky Sintenie believes that Telstar can stunt in Eindhoven tonight by reaching the quarterfinals of the cup tournament against PSV. “When football is played against a lower club, they often play casually,” she says about PSV.
“And the lower club plays extremely well,” says Dicky confidently.
Because the corona rules prescribe that no public may be present at professional football, Dicky will follow the match on television tonight. On the couch in her office, but that doesn’t make it any less exciting.
“You can let yourself go completely in the stands, I do that here too and the neighbors know it,” said Dicky. But as soon as the weather is allowed, Dicky will be one of the first back in the stands.
FC Barcelona
If the White Lions win, they will join the last eight, but Dicky is already dreaming on. “In this way they come very close to European football, FC Barcelona would be a nice club, they can be caught,” she says with a wink.
Will Telstar make it?
One of the seven other quarter-finalists awaits tonight’s winner. Those are in any case NEC, NAC, AZ, Go Ahead Eagles, RKC and Vitesse. Ajax and Excelsior will decide tonight at 9 p.m. which of the two clubs will be added. The draw for the quarter-finals is next Saturday at 10:30 PM.
