Amsterdam agents discover 4 tons of cash and drugs in cargo bike | Inland

On Friday, May 20, officers saw the 46-year-old man driving through a red light on his electric cargo bike, the police reported on Thursday. They put him aside and asked if they could look inside his covered cargo bike. In it they found a bag with a large amount of hemp and pre-rolled joints. The cyclist was subsequently arrested.

Plainclothes police officers then kept an eye on the man’s home and soon saw a man come out with several large bags. When the officers smelled a hemp smell, they decided to check him and also found a large amount of hemp and joints. After this man was also arrested, the house was searched. Here were even more soft drugs and several thousand euros in cash. The police then saw a large bag on a balcony below. Since it was suspected that it had been thrown down, it was checked. In the bag was another almost 4 tons of cash.

The men have now been released again, the council chamber of the court decided at the beginning of this week. They are still suspicious.
