At the French Open (Roland Garros), the second grand slam tennis tournament of the season, women’s 1st seeded Iga Swiatek defeated 11th seeded Jessica Pegula 2-0 to reach the semi-finals.
In the women’s singles fight on the 11th day of the tournament held in the capital, Paris, 2020 champion Swiatek faced Pegula, who reached the first quarter-finals at Roland Garros.
Swiatek won the match, which lasted 1.5 hours, 2-0 (6-3, 6-2) and became the opponent of 20 seeded Daria Kasatkina in the semi-finals.
