According to her own statements, the Australian Zoé Zanias was attacked with a syringe in the Berghain club in Berlin. According to her words, rescue workers had to revive the singer, and she now wants to warn other women on Instagram.
The phenomenon has been causing concern for several months: After visiting clubs, women report especially in Great Britain and Francefrom so-called “spiking”, in which the victim is given an anesthetic injection against his will.
The Australian singer Zoé Zanias has now stated on Instagram that she recently experienced this horror situation in the famous Berlin techno club Berghain.
Zanias: “On the dance floor, I suddenly had breathing problems and finally collapsed. After medical staff resuscitated me, I experienced numbness, temporary amnesia, dry mouth and a sore throat.”
According to her, the reason for her collapse was finally discovered on her arm: “Later we found a needle prick on my arm, which was also confirmed by a doctor,” writes the singer.
Zanias didn’t have a blackout, rather she experienced the whole situation like an “abstract psychedelic horror trip,” as she describes it. Even after the rescue workers were deployed, she was still completely dazed, could neither walk, hear nor see: “I was totally disoriented and am still traumatized,” she continues.
Luckily she would have had a boyfriend who would take care of her afterwards.
The singer ends her Instagram post with an appeal to take the spiking threat in clubs seriously: “Take care of your friends and be careful out there.”
