Installing Scribe only takes a few seconds. It is enough to specify if one intends to use the tool in a personal or professional framework. In the second case, it will be necessary to specify his position and the size of his company. A name and email address are then requested. The last step requires installing the extension.

You must click on the Scribe icon in the extension manager and then on the “Start Recording” button to start recording a tutorial. The tool makes a step-by-step summary of the different actions that are performed. Once you’ve finished, just click on the button at the bottom right of the screen to stop recording. This can be found directly on the Scribe platform.

The extension automatically takes neat and clear screenshots. It highlights the icons or links that need to be clicked. There is also a small description for each action to be performed. It is recommended to give a title to this tutorial, for example “How to create your Slack profile?” “. This is particularly useful for employees who are taking their first steps within a company.

In case one is preparing documentation on the onboarding process, it is a good idea to create a document clarifying each step. It is possible to design them directly in Scribe. We can then detail the steps to follow for new employees: create an account on certain tools, complete a training course, connect to the company’s Digital Workplace… Like any word processing software, Scribe offers the possibility of add titles, videos or images.

It is on this document that we add the previously recorded tutorials. Click on the “Add Scribe” button. Collaborators of the same team can make changes. To do this, you will have to send them the link by pressing “Share”. Note that it is easier to invite them directly to your Scribe workspace.
