After the black and yellow bagged a goalkeeper transfer last week, the next one is now following. A goalkeeper comes from Berlin who was recently number five at Hertha.
Borussia Dortmund has won the tug of war for Marcel Lotka. The young goalkeeper comes from Hertha BSC and will complete the trio with regular goalkeeper Gregor Kobel and Alexander Meyer at BVB in the coming season, whose commitment was announced last week.
Bobic: “Marcel helped us a lot”
“We have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund regarding the change and we have found a good solution for everyone involved. Marcel helped us a lot in the final stages of the season with his performances and we wish him all the best for the future,” said Berliner Sport -CEO Fredi Bobic on Monday.
Lotka was number five at Hertha at the start of the season, but due to a number of injuries he suddenly found himself between the posts in the Bundesliga and showed good performances. He completed ten season games and eleven more in the Berlin regional league team.
Lotka had already signed a contract with BVB until 2024 before becoming the first goalkeeper. Hertha then wanted to take an extension option.
