Before the World Championships in Budapest, breast swimmer Anna Elendt is still in a record mood.
After her German records over 100 and 200 m, the 20-year-old also improved the record over 50 m.
At the second meeting of the Mare Nostrum Tour in Barcelona, the Frankfurter won in 30.10 seconds on Thursday and thus remained 57 hundredths under her record, which she set last year at the DM in Berlin.
The day before, Elendt had already won the 100m breaststroke in Barcelona, again setting a top time (1:05.82 minutes) in the heat, leaving Olympic champion Lydia Jacoby (USA) behind, among others.
After seventh place in the 2019 World Cup and the 2021 Olympic semifinals in Tokyo, even more seems possible at the World Cup (June 18 to July 3).
“I don’t stress myself and try to have fun in Hungary,” Elendt told the DSV association magazine “Swim&More”.
