Team Pogacar captures 17-year-old Danish multi-talented: ‘I love all disciplines’ | cycling

The Dane won national titles in the juniors’ field, track and road (time trial) last year. At the beginning of this year, he became junior world champion at the World Championships in Fayetteville.

,,I’m an all-round rider, I like all disciplines”, says Christen. ,,I like to challenge myself, be it on the road, on the track or in the field. Cyclocross and mountain biking are also in my heart. I hope I can continue to combine everything at Team Emirates in the coming years.”

Christen is part of Team Pogi, the training team set up by the Slovenian Pogacar. The two-time winner of the Tour de France has brought more than 150 young cyclists to his team. Team Pogi works closely with UAE Team Emirates, the WorldTour team for which Pogacar (23) drives.

Christen will continue to drive for the training team for the time being. He will make the switch to the pro team as soon as he is ready.
