Feels like summer 2001: Ash have announced two reissues. The Northern Irish power pop band want to re-issue their debut 1977 (1996) as well as their third record FREE ALL ANGELS (2001). 1977 is due out on splatter vinyl on July 1, 2022, followed by FREE ALL ANGELS on September 16.
To celebrate the second release, Ash are also planning special concerts: In September, the trio will play three “21st Anniversary Shows” in the UK and the full length of the album there – with former guitarist Charlotte Hatherley as a special guest. According to a statement, drummer Rick McMurray is enthusiastic about the shows. He calls Hatherley the fourth member of Ash. She is “a guitarist extraordinaire, all-round Shining Light, the one and only, Charlotte Hatherley.” Can. distress. waiting.”
We are celebrating the 21st anniversary of Free All Angels by playing the album in full with @CHatherley79 at 3 special UK live dates?
