Four dead and 900,000 families without power after storm in Canada | Abroad

Ontario Police Department took to Twitter to report that three people were killed and several injured in a severe thunderstorm. One person was killed when a tree fell on the caravan he was staying in in Brant County, south of Toronto. Minutes later, in the same region, a woman in her 70s was crushed by a tree. Further north, one person also died as a result of the storm, but local police declined to provide further details at a press conference.

A fourth victim, a woman in her 50s, drowned in the river separating Ottawa from the city of Gatineau, in the province of Quebec, after her boat capsized in the storm.
