Talpa has announced a new game show in which participants can win 1 million euros by shutting themselves off from the outside world for a full year. A year of your life will probably start in mid-August and is looking for forty candidates.
Talpa speaks in the announcement of “an unprecedented chance of one in forty”. Just like in the previous Utopia At the beginning, participants only receive a number of basic facilities. Through assignments they can earn money for the household pot.
In addition, there are assignments to eliminate each other, so that eventually one person remains. If the household pot becomes empty, the prize pool may be used. The eventual winner could therefore also earn less than the original amount.
Interested parties can register online. The application form asks, among other things, which personal goals you want to achieve with the program and whether you will be available for a year from mid-August.
If you win a prize higher than 449 euros in the Netherlands, you must win a prize there gambling tax of 29 percent on payment. At a price of 1 million euros, you are left with a net amount of 710,000 euros.
