Angela de Jong sees no reason to stop her performances in Today Inside. “I don’t have an invitation yet, but I don’t see any reason to say, ‘I’m not coming.’”

Today Inside returns to television, but Shownieuws expert Anouk Smulders wonders after the much-discussed candle riot which women still want to join the program. “I am curious when and if a woman will come to the table again. How long will that take. I am curious about that.”

Angela to VI

A spicy statement from Anouk. Will she also have said that after the leaked report against Johnny de Mol? Ah no, otherwise she wouldn’t have sat on that Shownieuws stool.

Angela de Jong, a woman, is in any case not planning to boycott VI’s men, she tells the AD. “I don’t have an invitation yet and I don’t see any reason to say, ‘I’m not coming,’” she says. “I think: if you criticize someone, you should also say it to their face. And that whole cancellation, that really drives me crazy.”

plot twists

According to Angela, it is unbelievable how the return of Today Inside has been announced. Johan revealed the restart to the AD, Talpa then slowed down, but a day later the official press release was there. “It is a pity that SBS or Talpa does not have a camera on the ongoing developments in the soap around Today Inside.”

She would like to look at that. “That would give them a program that has more plot twists and cliffhangers than a season of GTST and would be a bigger viewing figure than Wie is de Mol?”

‘I do miss it’

Many people like that Today Inside is back on the tube. “You do miss it. I am not a loyal viewer, but TV has of course become very boring now. Between half past nine and ten thirty something happened every evening and you missed that buzz anyway,” says Albert Verlinde, for example.

Albert thinks that Op1 and Beau will be disappointed. “I think there is sadness among colleagues, because of course the flag went out at Op1 and Jinek. They thought: the competitor is gone, we only have the field and also helped to push the program off the edge of the ravine. And suddenly it’s The Mummy Returns.”

No more Rose

One woman who will in any case no longer be seated in VI is Roos Schlikker. During the 48-hour candle riot that led to VI’s disappearance, she announced that she would stop as a regular guest.

“On the one hand, I understand the consideration of a Roos Schlikker not to sit there anymore, but I also think that is a bit too easy,” Angela said earlier.
