UEFA, Changed the new format of the Champions League. As of the 2024/25 season, the number of teams has been increased from 32 to 26. 32 of the 36 teams that will participate in the Champions League will be determined according to the rankings in their national leagues and the quota of that league. 2 of the remaining 4 teams will receive special invitations regarding their past performances in UEFA tournaments. 1 team will come from the system called “Champions Road”. 1 team will be the team that finished 3rd in the league, which is in the 5th place in the country score. Previously, the first two teams of the 5th ranked country were going directly. In the group, 8 groups with 4 teams in the current system will be switched to a single-group league system in the new system. With the new format, each team will play against 8 different teams, 4 indoor and 4 outside. The top 8 teams will advance directly to the qualifying rounds, while those placed between 9th and 24th will be subject to a doubles elimination system and 8 more of these 16 teams will advance to the qualifying rounds. A total of 16 teams will compete in the qualifying rounds from the Round of 16.
