Schreuder: “Coming matches will be like a Champions League match”
Club coach Alfred Schreuder views them as a double Champions League confrontation. Blue-black is three points behind Union.
Alfred Schreuder, Club Brugge coach: “Perhaps you can see it as a kind of Champions League match. Home and away. We know that it is a very good team, with very good players and a very intelligent coach. Dangerous at the front from the switchover “But they can also play from the back with a strong midfield. But we also know how strong we can be and how we have developed from the winter break. You can also see that in the rankings, that we have come closer.”
Schreuder will have to make up for the loss of Mats Rits in midfield, probably with Balanta or Vormer. Club has not lost to Union this season. Better not to do that on Sunday. Defeat could be fatal. “Yes, but I don’t think so. Because we rely on our own strength.”
Club already has two direct chances to turn a three-point deficit.
