FC Bayern Munich wants to strengthen with Ajax midfielder Ryan Gravenberch. The transfer fee still causes problems. An expert from the Netherlands is nevertheless relaxed about the negotiations.

In the “Image” podcast “Bavaria InsidersFrom Christian Falk, the Dutch journalist Mike Verweij commented on the current state of affairs in poker surrounding Ryan Gravenberch. According to media reports, FC Bayern Munich is interested in the 19-year-old midfielder.

According to Verweij, who works for “Telegraaf” and is considered an Ajax expert, the German record champions should not be ready to meet the transfer requirements of the Dutch top club. There is still a considerable difference before an agreement can be reached. “Bayern offered 17 million euros plus six million more in bonuses, while Ajax asked for 30 million euros on the spot,” said Verweij. A sum that the Bundesliga club does not want to raise.

FC Bayern: Personal agreement with Gravenberch probably not a problem

However, it is not foreseeable that the deal threatens to collapse completely. “I think that an agreement will be reached if Bayern improve their offer a little bit,” continued the Ajax expert.

The people of Munich agree that Gravenberch is said to be very interested in getting involved with FCB. “A personal agreement with Gravenberch will not be a problem. The player would love to play in the Bundesliga,” predicted Verweij. “I think that Gravenberch will end up with FC Bayern,” he clarified.

The 19-year-old’s contract expires in the summer of 2023. The Ajax native, who was born in Amsterdam and has been trained at the top club since 2010, has made it clear in recent months that there will be no extension. For the reigning Dutch champions, the coming summer is the last chance to get a reasonable fee for Gravenberch.

It’s quite possible that the midfielder has already played his last game for Ajax. Due to an ankle injury, he can no longer intervene in the final spurt of the season.
