The corona incidence in Brandenburg has now fallen below 400. This emerges from the current data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Friday.
After that, the value of new infections per 100,000 people fell to 389.8 within seven days – compared to Thursday with a value of 402. In the days before it was sometimes over 500. The incidence in Brandenburg is therefore significantly lower than the nationwide figure of 553.2 and roughly on par with that in Berlin at 369.9.
1,600 new corona infections were registered in Brandenburg. According to the RKI data, the total number since the beginning of the pandemic has risen to 771,347. Nationwide, 4 new deaths related to corona infections were reported. In total there were 5576 so far.
Experts assume that many cases of infection are not recorded because not all rapid tests are reliable and because positive rapid tests are not always followed by a PCR test. In addition, not all health authorities report their data on a daily basis.
