In the Moscow region, a criminal case was opened after a robbery attack on the widow of the People’s Artist of Russia, composer Alexander Gradsky Marina Kotashenko. About it informs Prosecutor’s Office of the Moscow Region.
The case was opened under paragraph “b” part 4 of Art. 162 of the Criminal Code (robbery on an especially large scale). This offense is punishable by up to fifteen years in prison. The prosecution is overseeing the investigation.

Kotashenko was attacked on the evening of 16 January. The department clarified that the incident occurred in the Naro-Fominsk urban district of the Moscow region. Unidentified persons threatened the artist’s widow with “an object similar to a weapon,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement. As a result, Kotashenko was forced to give the attackers a large sum of money.
As reported by the agencies TASS and “RIA News” referring to sources in law enforcement agencies, Kotashenko was robbed in the amount of 100 million rubles. Companion TASS clarified that unknown people provoked an accident with Kotashenko’s car and got into her car. After that, the attackers, threatening with weapons, forced Gradsky’s widow to return home. Kotashenko came to the place and gave the money to the attackers.
