According to British media, she would skip the garden parties, because she is no longer able to stand for long periods of time. Elizabeth also canceled activities earlier. This year, she only appeared in public at Prince Philip’s memorial service in London in March.
Due to the corona crisis, the garden parties have been canceled for the past two years. The Queen also always throws a garden party at The Palace of Holyroodhouse in Scotland. That is on June 29 this year. The queen is not there either. Queen Elizabeth’s husband, Prince Philip, was also always present at the parties. He passed away last year at the age of 99.
