Kristoffersen almost perfect – Feller in wait
The Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen is in the lead, who was the first runner to take to the track and used this advantage for himself. While he has often disappointed in the course of the season so far and has not been able to pull off his best performance, he showed an aggressive and flawless run in Wengen and set the best running time with 51.27 seconds.
Only Manuel Feller (Austria) was able to keep up with Kristoffersen. The 29-year-old Tyrolean has been in top form for weeks and proved that in Wengen. Although he didn’t get through the pole forest perfectly, he was only 0.11 seconds behind Kristoffersen. Everything is still possible for Feller in the second round.
Sebastian Foss-Solevaag (Norway) in third place is already 0.58 seconds behind. Clement Noel (France) and Ramon Zenhousen (Switzerland) are just behind (+ 0.62) at the same time.
Schmid is 28th with start number 67
In addition to Strasser, he had DSV four other drivers at the start. Alexander Schmid, who started the race as the last of the 67, achieved a sensational 28th place and qualified as the second DSV driver for the final round. Anton Tremmel (+ 2.69) didn’t succeed, nor did Julian Rauchfuss and Fabian Himmelmann (both eliminated).
