Tyson Fury wins with a knockout – and makes an announcement

He has defended his heavyweight title: Tyson Fury. The boxing superstar and former winner of Wladimir Klitschko won against Dillian Whyte – and then announced a consistent step.

He remains world heavyweight champion and defended his title against Dillian Whyte: Tyson Fury. At London’s Wembley Stadium, 94,000 spectators saw the knockout victory of Wladimir Klitschko’s former victor. After that, however, the boxing superstar made one thing clear again: Fury confirmed the end of his career.

“I promised my wonderful wife, and I meant it, it’s all done, I stand by my word,” said the 34-year-old on Saturday night in London. His wife Paris was also there and then gave her world champion a kiss. She also posted a picture with her husband on Instagram after the fight and wrote: “The greatest of all time.”

Fury won in the sixth round

Fury himself also shared the contributions of all companions in his story on the social network. Captioning a picture of Fury with his wife, boxing manager Frank Warren wrote: “The King and his wife after taking glory at Webley Stadium.”

Fury had knocked out Whyte in the sixth round with a remarkable right hook. The Briton remained undefeated in his 33rd fight as a professional and successfully defended his world champion belt according to the WBC version.

The eccentric heavyweight had already announced the end of his career before his fight. However, many experts doubt this. Especially since there is still a unification fight against Oleksandr Ussyk, who holds the titles of the WBA, WBO and IBF associations. First, however, Ussyk’s rematch against Fury’s compatriot Anthony Joshua is on the agenda.
