Jan Smit can’t believe FC Volendam success ‘still’
Jan Smit is delighted with the promotion of ‘his’ football club FC Volendam to the Eredivisie. “I still can’t believe it,” writes the Volendam singer, who is vice-chairman of the club and has the position of commercial director on the board, on social media.
FC Volendam beat Den Bosch 2-1 on Friday evening. As a result, the club returns to the Eredivisie after thirteen years.
Smit has been a board member of FC Volendam for years. Since January 1, he can also call himself commercial director.
