In a sober press release, Ajax announced at the beginning of the afternoon on Thursday that it would let coach Ten Hag go to Manchester United. The headline (“It’s not over yet”) spoke volumes. Both general manager Edwin van der Sar and the relocation coach stated that they wanted to close the period of 4.5 years well.
