The former building of Impala Auto’s on Edisonstraat has been empty for some time. Will the building be demolished or will there be something new? We went to investigate.

The enormous industrial space is currently being refurbished and provided with a new interior. There will be a brand new thrift department store where we will soon be able to browse through second-hand items.

Six days of shopping

On Thursday 19 May, thrift store Het Goed will open on Edisonstraat. We can return our used items such as clothing, household goods, furniture and bicycles five days a week. Employees sort the items and give them a place in the store. We can go shopping there six days a week.

Het Goed has more than thirty thrift stores in the Netherlands. People at a distance from the labor market work there. In the shops they can gain work experience in a low-threshold way and thus have a greater chance of finding a job.

Hand in stuff now

In the coming weeks you can already hand in your second-hand items. This is possible on Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:00. You can also have your things picked up. For more information, call 079 3030260.
